Dynamic compressive failure of coal at different burial depths

چکیده
Abstract Dynamic disasters frequently occur in deep coal mines, where coals and rocks are under high situ stresses. To reveal the failure mechanism of burying coals, specimens were made buried at a depth about 1 km. An improved Kolsky bar was applied to conduct dynamic compression experiments subjected different hydrostatic pressure i.e., 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 MPa for simulating stresses corresponding depths 200, 400, 600, 800 m. The findings demonstrate that compressive strength specified is rate-dependent. And positively correlated with burial given loading rate. Moreover, Mohr–Coulomb criterion loadings considers effect established, model describes experimental results well.

the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...
Seed germination response of Haloxylon persicum (Chenopodiaceae) to different hydrothermal conditions and sand burial depths
Daily counts of germinated seeds of white saxaul (Haloxylon persicum) incubated at 35 different hydrothermal environments (10-25?C and 0 to -3 MPa) were carried out under controlled laboratory conditions. The seeds were then buried in sand at 4 different depths in well drained pots constantly moisturized for three weeks. In all these hydrothermal conditions, the courses of germination were comp...
متن کاملRelative Burial Depths of Nakhlites: an Update
Introduction: Nakhlites are augite-rich cumulate rocks with variable amounts of olivine and groundmass plus minor Fe, Ti oxides [e.g., 1]. Our previous studies revealed that nakhlites showed correlated petrography and mineralogy that could be explained by different locations (burial depths) in a common cooling cumulate pile [e.g., 2]. We so far analyzed six of the seven currently known nakhlite...
متن کاملMicrohardness of Esthetic Restorative Materials at Different Depths
The aim of this study was to analyze the microhardness of two resin-modified glass ionomer cements (Vitremer; Fuji II LC); two polyacid-modified composite resins (Freedom; F2000) and a hybrid composite resin (Prodigy), at different depths from the upper surface. Six hemi-cylinders (3 mm height; 3 mm radius) per tested material were obtained. Vickers Hardness was determined using a micro-indenta...
متن کاملDistribution of Bacteria at Different Poultry Litter Depths
A common practice in the commercial broiler industry is to reuse litter over multiple broiler flocks. Over time the bacterial populations in the reused litter increases but how those organisms are spatially distributed throughout the litter bed is unclear. Therefore, the goal of this project was to investigate the distribution of bacteria at three different depths of litter. Litter samples were...
